What we collect, why, and what we do with it.

Privacy policy.

This policy describes how WeCompound (Rebecca Jane Tickner trading as WeCompound) collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Last updated: June 2026

What we collect

When you contact us, book a call, download a guide, or subscribe to Compound Notes, we collect: name, email address, phone number (if provided), and any information you choose to share about your business or website project.

If you request a Broker Website Audit via /website-audit, we additionally collect: the URL of the website you submit, your business name, your industry-body accreditation (MFAA / FBAA / both / other), and your role. We use this to personalise the audit and tune findings to the body whose standards apply.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to enquiries, deliver the services or content you've requested, send Compound Notes (if you've subscribed), and improve our offering. We don't sell your data, ever.

Broker Website Audit specifics: when you submit a URL, our system fetches your publicly-available homepage HTML, runs automated checks against MFAA / FBAA / ASIC standards, then a working finance broker (Rebecca) personally reviews the findings before the report is emailed back to you. We never scrape password-protected or members-only areas.

How we store it

Your data is stored on Australian and US servers. Specifically: Vercel for site hosting + object storage (audit records + generated PDFs); Resend for transactional email; Microsoft 365 (OneDrive Excel via Power Automate) for our internal lead tracker. We use industry-standard encryption and access controls.

Cookies + analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Managerto measure how visitors use the site (pages viewed, traffic sources, on-site time, broad device + region info). These tools set cookies in your browser and process the data on Google's servers.

We do not use this data to identify individual visitors. We use it to improve the site, prioritise content, and understand which channels send the most valuable enquiries.

Opting out: you can block analytics cookies through your browser settings, install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or use a private / incognito browsing window. None of these will affect your ability to use the site.

Overseas disclosure

Some of the tools we use are hosted overseas. Specifically, the following process personal information in the United States: Google Analytics 4 + Google Tag Manager (site activity), Vercel (site hosting + object storage), Resend (transactional email), and Microsoft 365 (lead tracker via OneDrive). By using the site you consent to this transfer of personal information to overseas recipients in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APP 8).

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it if inaccurate, and request deletion. Email rebecca@wecompound.com.au with any requests.

Complaints

If you believe we've mishandled your information, contact us first at the email above. If unresolved, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
